Scintigraphic images of the anterior abdomen were performed for two hours following the intravenous administration of ___ millicuries of technitium 99m labeled red blood cells.
Findings:
There is a focus of abnormal uptake identified within the right mid abdomen just inferior to the right hepatic lobe. This area moves into the left upper quadrant on subsequent images.
Impression:
Findings consistent with active gastrointestinal bleed right mid abdomen and likely colonic in origin.
